In DiamondFire-Warlords historiography, a supergenre is a broad classification of Minecraft roleplay games based on the balance of power between the host and player. The supergenre system was originally established to differentiate Country RP games like Warlords RPs from that of non-Country RP games that are commonly seen on other servers that have entirely distinct styles of roleplaying and hosting.

List

The list is as follows, sorted in order of least influential host to most:

  • Common RP: These refer to the games that can be commonly found on any creative/freebuild server on Minecraft, where the host determines the setting of the game and the roles and characters available to the players, but does not play a significant role in determining the direction of the game.
  • Moderator RP: These are games where a moderator exists primarily to mediate disputes between players, as well as keeping track of any records or events and overall playing some limited role in determining the direction of the game.
  • Executor RP: Hosts in this category have full discretion to determine the outcome of events, with players primarily giving commands to the host, followed by the host determining the outcome of the command.
