In DiamondFire-Warlords historiography, a Common Roleplay game (shortened to Common RP) is a supergenre of roleplay games that encompasses virtually all roleplaying games in Minecraft. A Common RP game is roughly defined as a game where the creator holds little to no power in determining the direction of the game apart from the initial setting, conditions, and/or characters, and the players have effectively absolute control over the game throughout the game's playthrough. These games are commonly found in many freebuild/creative servers in Minecraft, usually in the form of games that take place in some setting (such as a high school or medieval town) and the players pick out characters from a pre-defined list of roles/characters, before being physically moved to the world and allowed to interact with their surroundings, as well as other players.

Common RPs are not within the scope of the Warlords wiki, and their distinction primarily exists to differentiate between it and the other two supergenres, which are within the scope of the wiki.
