n5Q (commonly known within Warlords as Kcolyz) is a former DiamondFire player best known in the Warlords community for being the inventor of the Executor RP supergenre. Along with chunghhoid, he is considered one of the two fathers of DiamondFire Executor RPs.
DiamondFire-Warlords Biography
n5Q had been active on DiamondFire since at least early 2017, with his first join date being recorded on February 13, 2017. Throughout the year, he would attempt to create some solo projects on his own. clumsycapy recalls on some unspecified time joining n5Q's plot and seeing an incomplete parkour project, which consisted of a large, narrow crater in which the player would have to reach the top, starting at the bottom of the cave. However, n5Q's projects were often limited or left unfinished, a problem he'd attribute to the fact that he had no donator rank on DiamondFire. Since certain code features, as well as larger plot sizes (the default plot size being 50x50), were mostly put behind a paywall, limiting any unranked player's ability to create a large-scale or fully well-coded project. n5Q would often work around this by working with higher ranked players on their plots, either by "renting" the plot (where n5Q has full control over the project but the plot is under the ownership of a ranked player) or collaborating with the ranked plot owner, a process which would later prove consequential for Executor RPs.
Early Collaborations
Throughout 2017, n5Q would collaborate with other plot owners, usually as a builder for their projects. One such project, the Stone Library, was a plot owned by clumsycapy where players could publish their own books. It was through here where n5Q would meet both clumsycapy and SenorConejo. Although the three were on friendly terms, conflicts within the Stone Library administration would later lead to a falling out between clumsycapy and n5Q, and the two would not speak for several years after.
Game Zero
At some unknown time in 2017, n5Q would gain inspiration from a Roblox game titled Risk Universalis, in which players could map out their own countries on a blank map and roleplay as these countries, interacting with other players. The model of the game somewhat resembled that of a grand strategy game such as Hearts of Iron IV, but the manually hosted nature of it gave a distinct experience. n5Q would attempt to bring this concept onto DiamondFire, but with added automation to create a smoother playing experience. The barebones concept, known under the placeholder name Game Zero, was ultimately a failure by n5Q's own account in his book, Some Adjustments, stating that it served more as a proof of concept than an actual project. This game now has the distinction of being the first Executor RP in recorded DiamondFire history, although the game itself did not inspire any later projects or have any known witnesses apart from n5Q himself that can recall the project.
RP Wars and Risky Conquest
With a concept in mind, n5Q now sought to implement a fuller version of his project. In Some Adjustments, n5Q recalls that he went on to talk with multiple players about the Executor RP concept, attempting to create a collaborative project with them. There exist no accounts of n5Q's vision ever being fulfilled, and there is only one known occasion in which n5Q's concept was adopted by any other player. chunghhoid, at the time a DiamondFire moderator and an Overlord ranked player (the highest donator rank in DiamondFire), would be inspired by n5Q's general concept to create his own Executor RP game. The result, RP Wars, did not resemble anything like Risk Universalis or n5Q's original plans for a Country RP game; instead, it seemed to be far more similar to Sid Meier's Civilization 6, both in settings and in gameplay. RP Wars went on to be a far more prevalent project than Game Zero, with both clumsycapy and SenorConejo having played it and other Warlords members bearing witness to the game. Today, RP Wars is widely regarded as the start of DiamondFire-Warlords Executor RP history, as all games from the community, in terms of inspiration, can be traced back to RP Wars in some form.
n5Q, for his part, had already become less active in DiamondFire, and sometime during 2017-2018, he would join DiamondFire very infrequently. He would make a brief return sometime during 2018, speaking with SenorConejo and renting out a plot from him to re-attempt his attempts at creating his vision of an RP game. The project, titled Risky Conquest, did not make it past the development stage and would never be released, and details of the game are so scarce that SenorConejo has no recollection of ever renting out a plot to n5Q in the first place, but both n5Q and clumsycapy hold a very limited recollection of the project's existence. n5Q would become inactive after work on Risky Conquest ended.
Time at Warlords
On November 12, 2020, after re-establishing contact, n5Q would be invited onto the Warlords server. He bore witness to all of the works that he had indirectly contributed to thanks to his role in the origin of Executor RPs and was surprised to see all of the creations on the server. The day after rejoining Warlords, he would write Some Adjustments, which corrected two historical misconceptions made by clumsycapy. The first was that RP Wars was the first game; n5Q's book would be the first time in which the Warlords community became aware of Game Zero. Secondly, it was believed that n5Q played a larger role in the creation of RP Wars, and that his concepts included the mechanics and setting of RP Wars. Some Adjustments also corrected this, explaining how n5Q had simply contacted others about his general concept and that chunghhoid was largely able to create his own vision of RP Wars. Given chunghhoid's lack of recollection of the origins of Executor RPs, this 17-page account remains the only firsthand witness account of that era up until the hosting of RP Wars, and one of the most important documents in the history books.
n5Q would go on to create some builds, including a pixel art build of a castle and a map with holograms. He did consider the idea of creating a third project (in Some Adjustments, he states that "Maybe I will return one day to finish what I started."), but ultimately never pursued it. The castle's pixel art was of a large enough scale to be shown on a map, and the map was put on display in the spawn area of clumsycapy's project, Farlands 1. This would mark the end of n5Q's contributions, as he'd stop joining Warlords and lose contact with the Warlords community a short time after joining. He has not been seen since.
