I began writing this book on 8/31/19 So, its been a long ass time since we've started making these games, and well, I've never made a book talking about its full history. Now, while I have no idea of exact dates of when stuff happened (I don't even know the years lmao) I do know how stuff happened, like, chronologically. So, its time to begin. CHAPTER 1 The Beginnings The Story of Kcolyz and TheLoyalHorse In a long time ago, in a very uh distant land known as DiamondFire, the founders of the concept of the games we now play today meet. Kcolyz is an unranked player on DiamondFire, and wasn't known for much around this time, although he had been an administrator for what is now the Stone Library. TheLoyalHorse is a staff from DiamondFire, and was definitely well-known across the server. He had the potential to run a game, and make it popular. Kcolyz did not. What Kcolyz did have, however, was an idea. Inspired by another game, Kcolyz had an idea of a game that would involve you building your own country. However, it would be hard to code this game, so, instead, he proposed to Horse that he could manually do stuff - That is, moving heads, building blocks, etc. This was the fundamental concept that would go along with every RP game. Although we don't really have any idea of how the conversation exactly went, Horse accepted, and "RP Wars" was born. (This is estimated to be around late 2017 by Senor, I personally have no clue) The game, although not revolutionary across the server, gained some attention. The match was never completed, and the build was cleared, lost in history. Two notable individuals, later founders of Warlords, would both play in this game. We had thecoolkid26, (me!!!) who had found the game from seeing that it had players on it and checking it out, and SenorConejo, who found out through thecoolkid26. CHAPTER 2 The Seeds The Story of SenorConejo and thecoolkid26 RP Wars would eventually die off. A second version of it was started on by others, but would not gain much traction. It was never even completed. RP games went nowhere, for a while. I estimate it to be a month or so. Then, out of nowhere, a new game comes out. Kingdoms. So, some background: SenorConejo was, as mentioned before, another player of RP wars. He knew thecoolkid26 well by this point and was heavily invested into RP wars. Its death prompted him to make Kingdoms. Meanwhile, thecoolkid26 was another player who was heavily into RP Wars. Already having somewhat of a name for himself from survivals and the Stone Library, he was still just another ordinary player by this point. Finally, dylan34481 is believed to have also played RP Wars. Remember him for later. So, Kingdoms releases. Many of its initial players would leave, but notable people who played include thecoolkid26 (Avalonia) surrenderfire (Vacce) (Future player of Warlords, not major to the story. Knew thecoolkid26 via. survivals) Bloxhead7 (Bullinia) A future player of warlords, he had his DF RP origins here in Kingdoms. He had previously known thecoolkid26 for previous Library games, such as the Stone Library and MrMeme's Local Library. He'll be important later. PL_ADI (Mushea) A puppet of surrenderfire, PL would become a future warlords player, and also has his origins to Kingdoms. He knew Senor from a game called Lockdown, which later got him into Kingdoms. So, after a while, Kingdoms S1 would die because of Senor going inactive for a week. During this period, thecoolkid26 made his own game, the Lands of Tckia. Based off of Kingdoms S1, Lands of Tckia blew up. Having 8 players instead of 4, more people came to play it, and Lands of Tckia was somewhat popular. When Senor returned, he was given build permissions. Now, one of two things happened here. We have two accounts of what happened. What I, thecoolkid, remember: Senor had, as a joke, worldedited the plot, and timed out before he could //undo his prank, which ultimately destroyed all of Tckia. Senor's Account: He tried to World-Edit the ground to see how it'd look like, but he received an error that his rank (Mythic) could not worldedit that many blocks, but part of the action was automatically done, and he could not //undo it. You can believe whichever one you want, but the outcome was the same. Lands of Tckia died as a result. Senor was banned for a few weeks, and upon his return, began making Kingdoms S2. Now that Kingdoms S2 was made, alongside the original players of S1, some new characters enter our story. CHAPTER 2.5 The Interlude The Story of UK_Countryball and UltraCraftGames Although the exact date is lost, UK believes this all happened prior to Kingdoms S2. UltraCraftGames was completely unknown around this time. He had spectated Kingdoms S1, and hadn't played Lands of Tckia. UK_Countryball was in complete obscurity aswell. He spectated Kingdoms S1 with Ultra, and had played in the Lands of Tckia. However, they both had a history before, which UK estimates was during Kingdoms S1. (Note - UK's name at this time was EchoPlayz17.) The two had met when UK was making an RP game of his own, which was a space game that involved conquering planets. Ultra played, and would go on to play his other games, which included a fantasy medieval series, and a "Galactic" space series that was the precursor of a notable Warlords game called Galactica. Much later on, a game called the Realms of Phyria/Phyrria was made by UK. This game does have some significance, as it was how thecoolkid26 would meet UK and Ultra and know them better. CHAPTER 3 The Explosion The Story of Bloxhead7, thecoolkid26, and DF RPs During Kingdoms S2, some insignificant games were made, by people who are now forgotten to history. Although these games hold no relevance to Warlords today, they did introduce some concepts. Although we only remember Ultra and UK's games as the important ones, there is one more to remember. During an unknown period of time, a new concept of games had emerged. The idea that RP games don't have to involve you actually ruling a country, but you playing as a character in a certain setting. While several were made, it'd ultimately be one made by tylerz_world that would inspire me/TCK to make a game off of it. Tylerz's game, whose name has been forgotten in history, was the one that made me want to make my own game with the same concept of playing as a character, rather than a country. This game, Afterlife 1, effectively popularized the sub-genre which has been sometimes called the "Afterlife Genre", and left tylerz's game forgotten. Not many of you know about his game (I didn't even play it, I just watched it for a bit) but, I felt like it was worth noting. So, Bloxhead7 had a game idea a long time ago, with its origins tracing to a school project he did. This game, Echokia, took place in a hypothetical world with several countries. Unlike Kingdoms and other games, this was a full blown country game. This is easily the earliest known game with a world map at all, alongside with many of the systems that are now commonplace in games. However, the game didn't go far after it was played by some players, notably including players from Kingdoms. The ultimate cause of Echokia's death was inactivity, from both players and Blox, prompting me to make a new game similar to it. This game was called Belloria. Belloria, although never completed, had reformed many of Echokia's flaws, primarily in the area of the war system, and unlike Echokia, led to a TON of games. This was essentially the catalyst for a boom in DF RPs. The "Loria Genre" would blow up to many games, starting with UK's Pokeloria, and followed by many others. Arguably the largest boom of games of this genre, it went as far as to TCK trying to make a "Roleplay" category in DF, something that wouldn't be added until a year later, roughly. The diversity of games led to a lot of ideas being made for games that'd later go on Warlords, and notably also included future Warlords players making these games. TheZipCreator, although never making a Loria game, did start making RP games around this time. His origins most likely came from Kingdoms S2, and he also had a friendship with thecoolkid26 prior from survival games. (Note: TheZipCreator is mostly known in DF for starting what is now called the Survival Genre) Although not having made any notable games, he made a bacteria game called Mitosis, where you played as a bacteria and evolved. He is also known (in terms of DF RPs) for making a remake of the steam game Factorio in an RP style game. dylan34481 would also re-emerge as a player of many games. He didn't make any of his own, except for the joke loria, called epicloria. Of course, other players mentioned before made their own games, such as PL_ADI's precursor to his game "Abominate." The Loria boom was, quite honestly, the golden age of RP games. CHAPTER 4 The Genesis Everything that had happened had led up to one moment. Dylan had come up with a new game, after not making any. It was called Fuhrerreich, and was the world if the Germans won WW2. I offered to help. I had gotten Schematica, so I was able to make a schematic of the world map. With that said, it was fucking massive. Like, dozens of times larger than the largest plot type in DF. So, a new idea started emerging. What if we made a new server, dedicated to our RP games? It'd give us much more freedom. After a while of consideration, dylan made the decision to open up a new server called Warlords. After basically a year of history, we finally had a server of our own, and a category that'd change what we did when we played MC. It was a long journey, and now we were going to begin another one. Warlords was born. So, that was it. I didn't go through every game so that this would fit in one book, but this was the general important history of RPs in DF, prior to Warlords. The next books will cover DF RPs after Warlords, and Warlords history itself. With the exception of surrenderfire, every notable individual mentioned in this story actively plays Warlords. And, it was all thanks because one day, Kcolyz chose to talk to Horse about making a new game. Well, with that said, I'll end it here. Bye!!!!!!!
